Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) is used as a prescription to treat thin vaginal tissue, and as a supplement for conditions like depression, adrenal insufficiency, and as an anti-aging therapy. While some studies suggest potential benefits for issues like low bone mineral density, erectile dysfunction, and improving mood, skin appearance, and sexual desire, evidence for many supplement uses is mixed or lacking.
